Bill Hjort is a caring supporter of the UMPS CARE Charities BLUE Crew Tickets program. He bid on, and won, a Minnesota Twins batting practice experience during the 2008 BLUE for Kids World Series of Bowling. For Bill and his family, it was a unique experience to watch the Twins take batting practice before the May 3rd game against the Tigers followed by tickets to the game. For children awaiting adoption and at-risk youth in mentoring programs, it means an opportunity for them to enjoy a special day at the ballpark.

We had a great time at the game in May. Stephanie Johnson from the Twins was a kind hostess, the M&M boys ( Mauer and Morneau ) stopped by to sign some autographs,
and the Twins won. It couldn't have been better! Thanks very much to you and the Twins for setting it up for us!
