A professional sporting event is just the ticket to inspire a child in foster care or strengthen a mentor/youth match.  Through the BLUE Crew Tickets program, Major League Baseball Umpires provide memorable sports experiences for children awaiting adoption and kids in youth mentoring programs.

The BLUE Crew Tickets experience includes:

  • complimentary game tickets from some of the best seats in the park,
  • meet-and-greet with an umpire where kids receive game ball and photo,
  • New Era Cap baseball hats of the home team,
  • food/drink stipend for each guest,
  • 5x7 photo print for children to remember their game experience.

Two agencies will serve as primary beneficiaries for 2008 BLUE Crew Tickets:

  1. The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption - dedicated to dramatically increasing adoptions of the more than 140,000 children in North America’s foster care systems waiting to be adopted.
  2. Big Brothers Big Sisters of America - Founded in 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is the oldest and largest youth mentoring organization in the United States.
