BLUE for Kids is organizing teams to Get Stuffed and Run for Kids in the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon Team Relay. The marathon has made a mark being the third-largest first-time marathon in the country. The relay promises a beautiful course which starts outside of Paul Brown Stadium and "flies" along the streets of Cincinnati, Covington, and Newport.
- DATE: Sunday, May 4, 2008
- TIME: 6:30AM
- LOCATION: Paul Brown Stadium
- THE RACE: Cincinnati Flying Pig
Marathon Relay
Teams consist of four runners who complete the 26.2-mile course in a relay fashion while carrying Build-A-Bear Workshop® Curly Teddy Bears sporting bear-sized Major League Baseball team uniforms. The teddy bears are a fun way to reinforce what the effort is all about.
The marathon relay is broken down into 4 legs in the following order:
- leg 1 = 6.8 miles
- leg 2 = 5.2 miles
- leg 3 = 7.3 miles
- leg 4 = 6.9 miles
Team Fundraising Effort
The team fundraising goal is $1,200 or $300/per team member. If each team member secures the equivalent of 10 stuffed animal donations, you'll meet the minimum fundraising goal. IT’S EASY!

Your team entry includes:
- Complimentary Team Registration* – Entry fee paid by BLUE for Kids.
- (4) Souvenir Build-A-Bear Workshop Curly Teddy Bears* - Team members run with their Curly Teddy Bears and then keep the furry friend as a souvenir.
- Great Race Gifts* - Commemorative marathon T-shirt, limited edition poster, goodie bag, and a "special gift."
- The Finishing Touch* - Relay finishers receive a finisher's medal, a mylar blanket, and Finish-area refreshments.
- Free Team Fundraising Web Page* – Your personal team web page makes it easy to raise donations by credit card or personal check.
- Final Say in Silent Auction Bids* - Runners have the opportunity to bid on amazing auction items and post a final bid just before the auction closes.
* Teams must fulfill the minimum team fundraising goal by April 7, 2008 to be eligible for benefit.
Silent Auction
The silent auction is your chance to bid on incredible unique experiences, sporting event tickets, one-of-a-kind items, restaurant gift certificates, and MORE!

Get Started Today!
Get started by forming your 4-person team for the marathon relay. Each team designates a team captain to serve as the primary point of contact with BLUE for Kids. The team captain will organize team members, submit the registration form to BLUE for Kids, ensure the team fundraising goal is met, and communicate timely event information as the event approaches.
