MAJOR LEAGUE SERVICE TIME: 7.5 Years

CAREER: Became a member of the Major League staff in 1999...has umpired the Division Series (2000) and the 2005 All-Star Game at Comerica Park...worked behind the plate for Tom Glavine's 200th victory and Roger Clemens' 250th victory...previously worked in the Arizona League (1991), California League (1992), Texas League (1993-94), American Association (1995), Pacific Coast League (1996-98) and Arizona Fall League (1997-98)...umpired in Japan's Central League in 1997, becoming the first American umpire to work regular season games in Japan.

PERSONAL: Michael Ryan DiMuro...born in 1967 in Dunkirk, NY...resides in Colorado...married with three children...graduated from the University of San Diego with a B.A. in Communications...enjoys swimming , reading, and flying various aircraft for personal and charity work...his father, Lou, was an umpire in the American League from 1963-82...his father also wore number 16 during his Major League career.

BLUE FOR KIDS: Mike co-founded BLUE for Kids with fellow umpire Marvin Hudson and serves on the Board of Directors.

Mike has a Team BLUE personal page to raise donations for stuffed animals. He distributes the stuffed animals to children with cancer, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis and other serious illnesses.
